The little Ghouls!!!
We started this Halloween by going to the trick-or-treat street at Breidablik.
What made the experience even better was watching Evalynn get dressed up and walk around with her little bag. At first she wasn't too sure about all the costumes and decorations, but as time went on she did just fine.
Our favorite place to go Trick-or-Treating is in Woods and Meadows aka - Hoods and Ghettos!! The neighborhood goes ALL out, decorating, handing out candy, and creating a fun atmosphere!! Over the years the neighborhoods decorations have evolved and they've begun adding fun haunted houses for the kids to enjoy!!
I have to make sure that when we go that my memory card is empty as it's very easy to snap a picture at each house. Unfortunately, the kids will only allow me a few pictures before they're tired of posing and just want to get on with the fun!! After we're done freezing to death (this year was exceptionally cold) we head back to one of our houses for a warm meal and hot chocolate - whip cream and all!!! It's definitely a fun tradition that the cousins share and enjoy the fun we have every year!

Easter 2011
I can't believe how long since I've updated my blog. It just doesn't seem like something I think about doing very often. As I was choosing pictures to put up I was having a hard time myself believing that this was my family!! They are all growing up so quickly it amazes me at how they have changed over the last year.

A day at the beach!
My good friend Sherry called me and said she was taking 2 of her kids to the beach for the weekend and would Adam and I like to come. I had just gotten home from my yearly scrapbooking weekend and was hesitant to go. But when Scott said that he was busy all weekend with Taylor and softball tryouts and Brett was going on a scout camp it didn't take me long to agree to going. After all what could be better than enjoying the beautiful scenery, running in the waves and spending time with great friends?!
Sherry and I loaded up the kids and enough food for 2 weeks and headed out. We got in pretty late that night but when we woke the next morning it was like a dream. The skies were clear blue and nothing but warm sunshine! Sherry and I kept commenting that we couldn't believe the luck we had in having a warm, sunny, wind free day at the beach. The kids had a great time making maps in the sand, for Sherry and I to follow, digging trenches for the water to flow and of course, building sand castles.
All in all it was a GREAT weekend!!!

Halloween 2009
As you can see I am a little bit behind on my posts. I have found that I will sit down and catch up and resolve to do better next time and then before I know it I am right where I was the last time, far behind!
This Halloween was a little crazy. Taylor went with some friends and Brett had a football game and then he was having some friends over so I was on my own.
After I got done getting Adam ready in the parking lot of the football field Adam wanted to hide in the bushes to see if Scott and I could really see him. When we said, "yes" he would move father back and say, "now can you?" We finally had to say, "Nope, not at all."
I met my sister, her husband and their 3 kids and we went trick-or-treating to one of the best neighborhoods around. They spend the whole week decorating their houses and the crowd they draw is unreal!!! It's always so fun to see what different costumes people dress their kids in. Of course, we are a little partial and think our kids are the cutest.

1st day of School
It's hard to believe that the first day of school is upon us. I'm thankful we had a nice warm summer to enjoy. Some days were a little too warm but all in all it was a great summer. The kids were all ready to head back to school.
Taylor was excited to start seminary and High School.
Brett was excited to move up a step from the bottom of the totem pole in Middle School.
And Adam was excited to start the 1st grade.
It truly amazes me how fast they grow and how much they change.

17 years!!!!
It seems like just yesterday that I was planning my wedding and here we are Sept 5, 2009 celebrating 17 years of marriage. You know you are confident and comfortable in your marriage when you decide to take your 3 kids along with you for the day. We decided to spend the day over in Seattle. We started at a sports store looking for new football shoulder pads for Brett, then we made our way over to the Pacific Science Center. The kids had a great time. The main exhibit was "Animal Grossology" Some of the exhibits were pretty gross, but also very entertaining!
They have a water section outside that I think the kids enjoyed more than the exhibits outside.
The Science Center is always very entertaining. Whether you're playing with the water exhibits, sea life, or sitting at a table that is larger than any human you're always guaranteed to have a great time.
I wonder what we'll do when we reach 18 years?!
