Scott and I have been married 16 1/2 years to be exact and in that time we haven't had the chance to get away very often. In February Scott went down to California for a umpire clinic then I flew down at the end of the week to join him. We spent 5 days together at Disneyland and had the BEST time.
After we came home I realized that we really can't let so much time pass between getaways. They are way to special and important in maintaining our Happily Ever After!
Where does the time go? It's 2 months (well, almost 3) past Brett's birthday and I am just getting around to posting pictures from his birthday. He wanted to go try his hand at rock climbing. So off to Vertical World with a group of boys and had a great time. Scott, Blaine and Sherry all took the belaying test and were able to assist all the kids in their climbing.
When we arrived Adam was sure he was going to love climbing. After he got about 1/2 way up he wanted to come down but was too scared to let go of the "rock". It took about 5 minutes to talk him down. Surprisingly enough after he came down he wanted right back up again and after about 1/2 way up wanted to come down but was afraid and the whole process of coaxing him down started all over again. He did it a total of 4 times before he said, "NO MORE"
It was fun watching Brett have such a good time. It's amazing to me he is 12. It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing home our sweet Brett Boy from the hospital. You are growing into such a kind, considerate, responsible, loving, handsome brother and son. I am so proud to be your mother and look forward to continuing to watch you grow and mature.
