2009 NK District 2 Softball Champs!!!

Scott has been coaching Taylor's softball team for about 9 years now. In the 9 years they have only won 1 game once they reached the district playoffs. This year we were hoping for a different outcome. Boy did our wish come true!!! We had an amazing group of girls that came together and played exceptionally well. It was so exciting to see them succeed in their game after their weeks and weeks of practice.

Although we didn't do as well as we would have like to once we made it to State, the girls all had a great time and walked away satisfied with their District win....this year!

The Graduate - 2009

It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing Adam home from the hospital. Now here he is finishing Kindergarten. He had a great first year. He learned so many things and his teacher Mrs. Davalos was the BEST. All the kids voted and nicknamed the class the All Day Kindergarten Raccoon Class at Breidablik Elemantary.

This year Adam learned to count to 100 and beyond, read, basic math and many other valuable skills. I'm sure his kindergarten years is one that he won't soon forget.

When did our little girl grow up?!

The end of Taylor's 8th grade year marked the beginning of many firsts for me and Scott. Taylor's school hosts a semi-formal each year and Taylor and I did our very first dress shopping. We went with my sister and the 3 of us all agreed on a dress. I was even more excited when I found out it was 50% off!!!

Taylor came home from school on Friday and we began getting her ready! Taylor is an on-line junkie and googled "How to get ready for a formal" It had all instructions starting with showering, shaving legs, applying lotion etc....... It was actually pretty cute! We then sat and curled her hair, applied make-up and painted finger and toenails.

When we went outside and I was watching her pose for the pictures it made me realize that my little girl is all grown up. We won't even mention the fact that she is now taller than me! It was a lot of fun helping her get ready for her very first dance. I'm sure it won't be the last either. But for now, I was excited to be with her and see her off to end her time at the Junior High and watch her get ready for her High School years.
