Adam's 1st Mariner's Game

Scott called me late one afternoon in July and said that he had been given 2 Mariner's tickets and did I want to go. My first response was, "YES". He knows I love going to Mariner's games in the summer time. I love everything about it. The smells, the field, the food, the game! The more we talked we decided it would be fun for Scott to take Adam. He's never been to Safeco and has been talking about going all summer. He left work and went to the house to pick Adam up. When he told him what they were doing Adam was like a kid on Christmas morning. He couldn't have been more excited.

They had a great time watching the game and just being together. I know this is a memory that Adam will have for a long time.

The Diamond Club!!!!

Every year Scott gets Mariner's tickets in the Diamond Club section. It's hard to believe that people often go to the game and get to sit in this section every time!!! For the past 3 years Scott has gotten an extra ticket and has taken me. This year he had 2 extra tickets. The boys were at friends and were spending the night so we took Taylor with us. She was in awe of the buffet that we ate at before the game, the view from our seats and the cute ball boy that tossed her the first foul ball. It was a great night!!!

Taylor's 1st Homecoming Dance

Taylor came home one day and announced that she was asked to the Homecoming dance. She was so excited to buy her first dress. I have to admit that I was dreading the experience. How many dresses would she try on, how many different stores, how much would it cost. We walked into JC Penney's and she looked up on the manequin, saw the dress, tried it one and $29.99 and 1/2 hour later we were done!

She went with a very nice boy named Jordan. I wish I would have brought my video camera to capture the moment when Taylor, my mom, me and my dad all attempted to pin the boutinnere on Jordan. He was a very good sport and even laughed when the bud of the rose popped off and rolled down the parking lot. Luckily there was a wedding reception going on and my dad ran inside and found some floral wire and fixed it. You can't even tell!!!

2009 NK District 2 Softball Champs!!!

Scott has been coaching Taylor's softball team for about 9 years now. In the 9 years they have only won 1 game once they reached the district playoffs. This year we were hoping for a different outcome. Boy did our wish come true!!! We had an amazing group of girls that came together and played exceptionally well. It was so exciting to see them succeed in their game after their weeks and weeks of practice.

Although we didn't do as well as we would have like to once we made it to State, the girls all had a great time and walked away satisfied with their District win....this year!

The Graduate - 2009

It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing Adam home from the hospital. Now here he is finishing Kindergarten. He had a great first year. He learned so many things and his teacher Mrs. Davalos was the BEST. All the kids voted and nicknamed the class the All Day Kindergarten Raccoon Class at Breidablik Elemantary.

This year Adam learned to count to 100 and beyond, read, basic math and many other valuable skills. I'm sure his kindergarten years is one that he won't soon forget.

When did our little girl grow up?!

The end of Taylor's 8th grade year marked the beginning of many firsts for me and Scott. Taylor's school hosts a semi-formal each year and Taylor and I did our very first dress shopping. We went with my sister and the 3 of us all agreed on a dress. I was even more excited when I found out it was 50% off!!!

Taylor came home from school on Friday and we began getting her ready! Taylor is an on-line junkie and googled "How to get ready for a formal" It had all instructions starting with showering, shaving legs, applying lotion etc....... It was actually pretty cute! We then sat and curled her hair, applied make-up and painted finger and toenails.

When we went outside and I was watching her pose for the pictures it made me realize that my little girl is all grown up. We won't even mention the fact that she is now taller than me! It was a lot of fun helping her get ready for her very first dance. I'm sure it won't be the last either. But for now, I was excited to be with her and see her off to end her time at the Junior High and watch her get ready for her High School years.

Where does the time go........

I found this picture recently and love looking at how my children have grown and changed. It's hard to believe that they were so small. Especially Adam. Looking at those chubby little cheeks makes me miss that baby stage so much. But, I also love the other stages since then that we have come upon. Each phase of their life has brought joy, laughter, frustration and excitement for what's yet to come. My children all bring something different to our family and I can't imagine life without them. I am truly blessed to have 3 beautiful children!
